LNER’s sponsorship of the bike share scheme in Leeds – put together last year by PHAR – has now been extended to the city of Bradford.
Two hundred LNER Bradford Beryl Bikes can now be found throughout the city. Docking stations have been installed in convenient areas for residents, commuters, and visitors who may wish to visit Bradford Forster Square, Bradford University, Bradford Royal Infirmary and a number of other key transport hubs, workplaces and along the city's cycle superhighways. The partnership is the latest sustainable travel initiative from LNER, with the introduction of the bikes helping make it easier to combine train and bike travel.
David Flesher, Commercial Director at LNER, said:
“Expanding our e-bike partnership with Beryl into Bradford represents an important milestone for LNER. The introduction of the LNER Bradford Beryl Bikes further strengthens our commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2045, while providing a greener, more convenient way for people to travel across this vibrant and growing city.”
