The highly anticipated second season of The Last Of Us arrived on MAX last April 14, and PHAR quickly alerted everyone in Manila. The award-winning drama quickly reached viral status after the first season “infected” over 46M viewers with its gripping narrative.
Before boarding, LRT-2 riders can see the exterior train wrap, and upon entering, they'll find interior posters and customized hand grips. Pedestrians and drivers can also check out the train as it passes through major roads like Marcos Highway, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, and Aurora Boulevard, to name a few. LRT-2 covers Recto in Manila to Rizal in Antipolo, traversing five cities in Metro Manila daily.
Meanwhile, the toll booths in NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) are also decorated with photos of Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) from the show. NLEX is a key artery for transportation linking Metro Manila to Central and Northern Luzon. Drivers and passengers become a momentary captive audience when they stop at the booths.
Down south, SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) features close-up images of the main and supporting characters, on its piers, and introduces new members of the cast, such as Catherine O’Hara’s Gail and Young Mazino’s Jesse. SLEX is a major toll road that connects Metro Manila to the southern provinces of Luzon.
